About Santa Cruz Waldorf School

The Santa Cruz Waldorf School traces its roots to 1974, when a group of parents interested in Waldorf education formed a weekly study groups at UCSC Garden House. Their children formed a play group which soon evolved into a 3-day-a-week kindergarten called Golden Goose. Out of the strong desire for a Waldorf experience for their school-age children, these parents founded the Santa Cruz Waldorf School in 1976.
